Full Description

Roman snake fibula (i.e. coiled snake) found by Mr John Cross on field near Water Tower. According to the British Museum, where it was sent for vetting in 1957, it is not Roman. Presented to Moyses Hall Museum in 1951 by Mr John Cross, the finder (S1).
