Full Description

Scatter of finds, few coins (Claudius ?), two brooches Colchester type, spatula, finger ring and other bronze fragments, grey ware pottery rims and body sherds, found metal detecting (S1).
This area lies near HSK 009 but is apparently restricted to C1-C2 finds except for one illegible C4 coin (SAU JP, 1984).
1986-1989: Further metal detected finds including head-stud type brooch, coins (including one C3 & C4 Valentinian), brooch ? fragment (Rom or Sax?). 1996: Extension of defined site area following detector rally - finds include cast moulding of a head (from a larger vessel?), a finger ring, and two coins - details in (S3)(S4).
Finds also include IA pottery, Sax and Med metalwork.
