Full Description
1981 : Heavy scatter of pottery sherds in fairly defined area, 20m square. Seven C13 rims, two bases, twentythree sherds, unglazed. One C14 rim, one sherd. One jug base, frilled with patch green glaze. One late C13 green glazed jug sherd, one early C13 squared rim.
Also one Rom rim.
Possibly on the edge of original Cranmer Green. For other Med and PMed sites situated on or surrounding Cranmer Green, see WLW 008, 09, 016, 022-040, 071, 072 and 080.
Not mentioned in 1577 Field book (S1).
