Full Description

Scatter of pottery sherds covering similar area to Rom finds. Mainly handmade, burnt flint, sand and organic temper fabrics present (S1).
Bronze coin of Cunobelin and fragment of C1 beaked type brooch, found metal detecting fairly close to the C1 Rom coin hoard (SUT 041), which was found in top of IA feature. Further pottery also included a sherd with heavily ridged exterior - ? Belgic type (S2). Also a bronze coin possibly an imitation/ forgery of a Whaddon Chase type stater (S3). Area of finds extended E, June 1990.
