Full Description

Moat. Rectangular, occupied, isolated, on parish boundary. Shown on 1950s OS map (S1).
2004: Some 25m of strip foundation trench was monitored during the rebuilding/extending of the property within the medieval moated platform at Colsey Wood Farm, Stoke Ash. A uniform 0.35m of topsoil was encountered overlying undisturbed natural Boulder Till. No archaeological finds or features were recorded (S2).
