Full Description
Found at (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) but dredged from river E of Scole Bridge, tip of bone point; polished and stained brown but otherwise in very good condition; break probably ancient. Parallel scratches of tooling still visible but no "shudder marks" as frequently imparted by scraping with flint tool. Impossible to date but found in area of Mes finds (no details of these!) and such a date is possible. Information and penes (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) as before. Identification and compilation J J Wymer 29 April 1985 (S1). Other dredgings finds between (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s) of Rom pottery and Neo flints in this area previously recorded - SUS 008, 009. Within area of OKY 010 (Rom & Sax scatters).
