Full Description
One gold C13 stirrup ring set with sapphires sold at Sothebys, 18.2.63, found in Botesdale. Sold by Dr Joan Evans, daughter of Sir John Evans, who died in 1908 - report in EADT. Basil Brown comments that Sir John Evans stayed at Redgrave or Botesdale when the ring seems to have been found and it could have come from the Broom Hills site, which is in Rickinghall Inferior (S1).
