Full Description

Large profuse scatter of pottery found about 1986 on field surface by (see 'Not to be published on web' tab for finder/s and/or findspot/s). Finds include thin scatter late Rom, Ipswich & Thetford with mixed Med and PMed wares. Found between N & W arms of substantial earthwork bank (S1) - see Un.
19880630: Further sherds located in small cropfree area surrounding telegraph pole, within above.
1986 & 1988: pottery, moderate amounts of PMed (740 gms) of quite high quality ware, probably C16 & C17. Also 7 sherds salt glazed stoneware & C18 clay pipe (S3).
E of Med church, WNG 015, and metalwork scatter, WNG 016.
Also Preh flint scatter.
