Full Description

In September 1983, the SIA visited Coldham Cottage, a Roman Catholic chapel at Stanningfield and described it in PSIA: "Originally farm building called Barfields, adapted for use as school for Catholic exiles from Revolutionary France, 1790-1816. School became centre of Catholic education in Bury - Sudbury area. Converted to present chapel, 1934" (S1).
