Monument record SOL 015 - Small undated mound and pit in Somerleyton Park

Please read our .

Summary

A small undated mound with an internal pit and external ditch is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork in Somerleyton Park. It could represent a former tree mound, therefore relating to the formal planting scheme within the park. This is not certain, however; earthworks relating to the pre-park landscape are also visible (SHER SOL 015, MSX27299), and it could instead relate to these.
