Full Description
October 2013. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The cropmark of an incomplete ring ditch, potentially representing the remains of a Bronze Age round barrow, are visible on aerial photographs (S1) and is located within an area of multi-period fields and enclosures (SOL 008). The ring ditch is centred on TM 5145 9912 and is 11m in diameter. See LUD 013, LUD 015 and LUD 040 for other nearby ring ditches. Although it is worth noting that some smaller ring ditches to northwest (LUD 043) have tentatively recorded as being the remains of later prehistoric to Roman roundhouses.
