Monument record WNF 057 - Undated cropmarks of linear ditches

Please read our .

Summary

Several field boundary ditch features are visible on aerial photographs on land to the south-east of Wangford. The majority of the ditches are visible on the 1st edition Ordnance Survey map or are clearly modern field drains and have therefore not been mapped. There is one east-west ditch visible which, although on the same alignment as many of the field boundaries, does not appear on the 1st edition map, and it is due to this possible archaeological feature that the monument polygon has been created.
