Summary

The presence of at least four ring ditches within this area (COR 015, COR 016, COR 062, COR 063) is likely to indicated a Bronze Age round barrow cemetery predating the fields, enclosures and trackway (COR 014) in this area. Although that some or all of them could feasibly relates to a domestic or agricultural enclosures or structures associated with COR 014. Although some of the ring ditches appear to be overlain by boundary ditches and banks, associated with COR 014, although some of these could relate to later phases of the site and some may be medieval to post medieval in date.

July 2014. Lothingland, Lowestoft and North Suffolk Coast and Heaths National Mapping Programme.
The presence of at least four ring ditches within this area (COR 015, COR 016, COR 062, COR 063) is likely to indicated a Bronze Age round barrow cemetery predating the fields, enclosures and trackway (COR 014) in this area. Although that some or all of them could feasibly relates to a domestic or agricultural enclosures or structures associated with COR 014. Although some of the ring ditches appear to be overlain by boundary ditches and banks, associated with COR 014, although some of these could relate to later phases of the site and some may be medieval to post medieval in date. A fifth possible large ring ditch may be visible at TM 5320 9846 on (S1), but was not included within the mapping due to uncertainty.
