Monument record IKN 085 - World War II aircraft obstruction ditches and mounds.

Three discrete sets of anti-aircraft obstructions, almost certainly of World War II date, part of an extensive group on Iken Heath. The obstructions comprise straight ditches, with the spoil piled in heaps to either side, in rectilinear arrangements. These features are originally visible as earthworks (although by the end of the war they are being damaged by armoured vehicle training in this area), but are ploughed out by the 1950s. Besides the three sets at TM 398553, TM 402550 and TM 406550, the obstacles also extend to the south. The set at TM 406550 is located within the area of IKN 015. S1-3
