Full Description

Possible V1 crash site, visible as an earthwork south of Yarn Hill in 1945 (S1). The feature consisits of a shallow, curving groove extending from TM 42585573 to TM 42445558 where there is a substantial double crater, and then to TM 42395555, where there is an shallow, elongated crater. Parallel to the main groove, as it approaches the main crater, is a second shallow groove which presumably relates to this site.(S2)
By 1955, the field is being ploughed and there is no sign of the site. (S3)
Initially numbered as IKN 025 during pilot survey of intertial area. Re-numbered Nov 2004
