Full Description
A number of ponds or pits, of unknown date, are visible as earthworks by two relict marsh channels around TM 448561, southwest of Aldeburgh. Most of the 'pits'are relatively small (c.8m x 3m) but two are larger (c.15m x 25m), connected to each other and apparently had access channels to the marsh channels. However, their exact function is not clear (S1). By 1968, the features have been ploughed. (S2)
