Full Description

Lengths of barbed wire obstruction of World War II date can be seen in photographs from 1944. This belt of barbed wire may have been located in order to prevent an invasion of Felixstowe from the marshes to the east and also to protect the various military installations on the east side of the town. (S1) (S2) (S3) (S4) By October 1945 the barbed wire has been removed.
