Full Description
A hexagonal pillbox of World War II date can possibly be seen under construction in July 1940, (S1) although the photograph is unclear. The length of barbed wire obstruction to the south of the pillbox cannot be seen at that date but is visible in some photographs from 1944. (S2) The barbed wire has been removed by October 1945. (S3) The pillbox is still visible on photographs from 1965 (S4) but it is not depicted on the modern base map.
