Full Description
A number of lengths of barbed wire obstruction can be seen running across fields just to the north of RAF Bawdsey. They were constructed some time after July 1940 and had been completely removed by September 1945. The barbed wire may continue to follow the drainage channel at its western end in order to link up with the stretch of barbed wire to the west (BAW 089), but because this is unclear it has not been plotted. They will have formed part of the numerous defensive features constructed to protect the important site at Bawdsey during World War II. (S1)
