Full Description

Military activity can be seen on the golf links at Felixstowe on photographs taken in 1944 and 1945. Most of the structures appear to be temporary and therefore have not been mapped. A number of earthworks can be seen, including two trenches, possibly dug for practice purposes, at TM327371 and TM326370. There is also a tiny structure, possibly a tent, at TM326371. (S1) (S2) (S3) The features have been interpreted as a military tented camp of World War II date. (S4)
The camp had been dismantled by 1948.
