Full Description

A hollowed out area can be seen in on the saltmarsh in the Deben Estuary near RAF Bawdsey. The area contains water and may be embanked on the seaward side, although this is unclear. It might have been an area for storing small boats away from the main channel of the river. (S1) (S2) (S3) The feature has silted up or been filled in by 1955.
