Full Description

A small rectangular hollow is visible as an earthwork at TM 27944708 on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards. The hollow is located just behind the floodbank and measures 18m by 12m. Its date and function are unclear but it may be a small pond or possibly be related to the extraction of earth to reinforce the floodbank. (S1-S2)
