Full Description

A probable Post Medieval quarry pit is visible as an earthwork, centred on TM 30944520, on aerial photographs. The hollow is 82m by 36m. (S1, S2) The material being extracted from the pit is unclear but the pit is not marked on the 1st or 2nd edition Ordnance Survey 25" map, suggesting that the quarry had gone out of use prior to 1884.
