Full Description

A probable Light Anti-aircraft Artillery emplacement is visible on aerial photographs as an earthwork centred on TM45635752. The feature is visible on aerial photographs of 1943 as a circular embankment, probably earthwork but possibly sandbagged, circa 10m in diameter, surrounding a circular pit or trench circa 5-7m wide containing a central feature, probably a machine gun. The bank is still visible in photographs of 1945, although in a somewhat damaged condition, but has been ploughed flat by 1952 (S2, S3).
