Full Description

A World War II road block is visible as a structure, located at the southern end of Langer Road, Felixstowe (TM 29123306), on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s. The road block consists of a series of slots in the road, into which a barrier could be inserted, and two short rows of anti-tank cubes, one at each side of the road block slots themselves. (S1) (S2) The slots are still visible after the war in 1948, although the anti-tank cubes have been removed. (S3)
