Full Description

A barbed wire obstruction of World War II date is visible to the south of Aldeburgh town, centred on circa TM46285610. This feature is only visible on photographs from October 1941 (S1). It stretches in an arc for approximately 80m from about TM46305613 to TM46295607 where it meets the western edge of a trackway. On the eastern edge of the trackway continues a further length of barbed wire (see ADB 133). However, by December 1941 this stretch of barbed wire has been superseded by a newly constructed anti-tank ditch (S2, also see ADB 131).
