Full Description

A small circular mound of unknown date and function is visible, initially as an earthwork and then later as a cropmark, centred on TM 22243613 in Shotley parish on aerial photographs taken from the 1940s onwards. The mound measures approximately 8m in diameter. The function of the mound is unclear but it seems unlikely to be of Prehistoric date. (S1) (S2) (S3)
