Full Description

A possible Bronze Age round barrow is visible as the cropmark of a ring ditch on aerial photographs, centred on TM 23923644 to the south of Hill House in Shotley parish. The ring ditch encloses an area roughly 24m in diameter and is cut by the modern field boundary. Its size suggests that it may represent the remains of a Bronze Age burial mound. (S1) (S2) (S3)
