Full Description

A small rectangular pit of unknown date and function is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken from 1944 onwards, centred on TM 24593534 on reclaimed land in Shotley Marshes. The isolated pit measures 18.5m by 10m and its purpose is unclear. (S1) (S2) (S3)
