Full Description

A number of probable World War II air raid shelters are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken from 1944 onwards, centred on TM28523297 to the north of Landguard Fort, Felixstowe. The features are visible as earthwork banks which are on average 5m wide and either linear or v-shaped. They are located near barrack blocks and accommodation huts and may be either semi-sunken or trench air raid shelters. (S1) (S2) (S3)
