Full Description
World War II anti-aircraft obstructions are visible as structures on aerial photographs taken in 1944, centred on TM 246394 in fields to the south of the railway line in Stratton Hall parish. The obstructions cover an area of around 0.5 square kilometres and consist of linear rows of poles which divide the large fields in this area into smaller segments. The nearby World War II communications station, located at TM 26353873 and the bombing decoy site, located at TM 23924102, may have increased the need to prevent aircraft from landing in this particular area.
