Full Description
Two possible temporary military structures of World War II date are visible on aerial photographs to the south-west of Orford, centred on circa TM41884930. The structures appear to be tents roughly 8 x 18m and 8 x 14m in size, and may be associated with the battery site to the east (ORF 091). They are first visible on aerial photographs of September 1945, and are still visible in October of that year. There are a number of groups of such tents in the area, and they may be intended to resemble haystacks as part of a camouflage strategy (see ORF 098, ORF 099).
