Full Description
Possible temporary military structures of World War II date are visible on aerial photographs of 1943 onwards, located in the fields alongside the road that leads from Boyton to Dock Farm in Boyton parish, centred roughly on TM38224753 (S1). The structures are generally rectangular in shape and vary from about 6 x 4m to 12 x 10m in size. They can be seen in groups of two or three along the road between Boyton and Dock Farm, and may be associated with the Armoured Fighting Vehicle range and much larger possible military camp to the east (see BOY 024 And 035). They may simply be hay ricks located at the edges of the fields, but the possibility of disguised military features cannot be discounted. (S2, S3)
