Full Description

A possible World War II pillbox is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken in the 1940s, located on the edge of sewage tanks to the north of Pipers Vale, Ipswich at TM 17284180. The possible pillbox appears to be square and measures 3.5m by 3.5m. It is perched on the flood bank that protects the sewage farm. (S1, S2) The pillbox has been removed by 1973. (S3)
