Full Description

The locations of a number of probable Post Medieval field boundaries are visible as cropmarks and soilmarks on aerial photographs centred on circa TM384495, about 250m to the east of Butley Low Corner, Butley parish. The features are forming over ditches that were probably caused by the removal of hedgerow boundaries. Although these features are not marked on the first or second edition Ordnance Survey maps of circa 1884 and 1904, they fit into the surrounding field system and are probably Post Medieval in date. (S1-3)
