Full Description
Three bomb craters of World War Two date are visible as earthworks to the south of Cattawade, Brantham parish, centred on circa TM107324. The craters are visible as circular depressions between eight and nine metres in diameter. Their arrangement in a line, spaced circa 100m and 200m apart, suggests they were drop as part of an airborne bombing run, as opposed to ground based or accidental damage. (S1)
