Full Description

A ring ditch of unknown date and function is visible as a cropmark to the west of KIR 004, centred on circa TM26244003 in Kirton parish. On average the cropmark of the ditch is less than 1.5 metres wide and the diameter of area enclosed by the ring ditch is circa 18 metres. The ring ditch may enclose a barrow of Bronze Age date but a positive identification cannot be made from the aerial photographs alone. (S1, S2)
