Full Description

A ring ditch and possible ditched rectangular enclosure can be seen on aerial photographs as cropmarks roughly 300 metres to the west of Fleet House, Felixstowe parish, centred on circa TM31213670. The ring ditch is circa 25 metres in diameter and appears to be located on the northernmost corner of a rectilinear ditched enclosure, the visible area of which is circa 100 by 80 metres in size. It is not clear from the photographs alone if any actual relationship between the features exists. These features are located near the summit of a low hill and the linear cropmarks of the rectilinear ditched enclosure lose definition towards the 15 metre contour.
