Full Description
A ring ditch of unknown date and function is visible as an earthwork circa 90 metres to the east of Brookhill Cottage on Foxhall Heath, on aerial photographs of the 1940s, Kesgrave parish, centred on circa TM213440 (S1). The ditch is approximately 1-2 metres wide, enclosing an area circa 19 metres in diameter. The ditch may be the remains of a Round Barrow of Bronze Age date but is likely to be a much later feature, such as a post-medieval plantation boundary. It has been damaged by the creation of an approach road to Foxhall Heath Stadium in the early 1950s. (S2)
