Full Description
A ditched trackway and possible field boundary are visible as cropmarks to the south of Lodge Farm Cottages, Foxhall parish, centred on circa TM230427. The track meets an established gate in the hedgerow, and pairs up with an extant path on the northern side of Purdis Road, to the west of Lodge Farm Cottages. The cropmark track is probably therefore of relatively recent date, but as it is not marked on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map, probably predates the mid 1880s. The modern path which uses this gateway travels in a different direction. (S1)
