Full Description
An earthwork mound, possibly the remains of a barrow of prehistoric date, can be seen on aerial photographs, centred on circa TM234477 approximately 50 metres to the east of the grounds of The Grove, Little Bealings. The mound is roughly circular and about 16 metres in diameter. Two similarly sized soilmarks can be seen to the north-east, which may be the remains of ploughed out mounds (BEL 043, BEL 044). Alternatively, it's proximity to The Grove could support an interpretation as a post-medieval ornamental landscape feature, such as a tree mound. (S1)
