Full Description
Field boundaries of probable post-medieval date are visible on aerial photographs as cropmarks centred on circa TM236813, approximately 250 metres to the south-west of Hill Farm, Weybread parish. Although not marked on the historic maps available to the survey, the cropmarks appear to fit into the pattern of the surrounding extant field systems, which are themselves constrained by the local topography; the fields are located on a spur over the Waveney valley, a stepp 15 metre drop to the north and west and more gentle slopes to the east. The cropmarks are at the earliest medieval in date but are probably post-medieval in origin. (S1)
