Full Description

A possible causeway of medieval date can be seen on aerial photographs as an earthwork crossing reclaimed land in the Waveney valley, to the west of Weybread House, Weybread parish, centred on circa TM 237820. The possible causeway can be seen for almost 200 metres on a WSW-ENE orientation, a possible junction with a southwards leg visible towards the eastern end. This feature may be cut by the line of a later drain and it must be considered that it may also be the remains of a water management system. (S1)
