Full Description

A possible extractive pit of unknown date, possibly a clay or gravel pit, is visible as a cropmark at circa TM 372899, on the eastern edge of a dry valley leading to the River Waveney, Shipmeadow parish. The feature is visible as a dark cropmark in a paler area of cereal growth, approximately 23 metres long and up to 10 metres wide on aerial photographs of 1967. (S1)
