Full Description
A possible concentric ring ditch, possibly the remains of a barrow of Bronze Age date, is visible on aerial photographs as a fragmentary cropmark in Shipmeadow parish, centred on circa TM 389898. The cropmark is extremely fragmentary and resembles the wheel marks caused by turning agricultural equipment, but the crops are visibly lodging in these areas which supports the interpretation of their forming over subsurface features, such as ditches. The possible ring-ditch is relatively small, probably about 15 metres in diameter (S1).
