Full Description
A possible clay or gravel pit of probable post-medieval date is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs to the south of Barsham village, at circa TM 395892. the possible pit is about 26 metres long and up to 13 metres wide with the remains of possible earthwork banks visible on either side, although these may be cropmarks caused by differential drainage at the edges of the buried pits.
