Full Description

Air raid shelters of Second World War date are visible on aerial photographs as earthworks within the grounds of Beccles Middle school, Beccles, centred on circa TM428896. Fifteen shelters are visible on the west and southern sides of the school building. They were probable constructed as semi-sunken shelters, earthworks encasing an timber or sheet metal lined trench shelter. (S1-3)
