Full Description

Two narrow ditches visible as cropmarks on a football ground, centred on circa TM 427904 to the north-east of Beccles, may be the remains of drains of probable post-medieval date that may originally have connected with the extant drainage channel immediately to the east. Alternatively they could mark the location of former field boundaries, possibly of medieval date. No such linear features are marked on the First Edition Ordnance Survey map of circa 1884. (S1, S2)
