Full Description

A rectilinear bank and ditch defined enclosure of probable post-medieval date, possibly the remains of a stock enclosure, is visible on aerial photographs on the common land of Beccles Marshes centred on circa TM 427921. Parallel ditches flanking a central bank enclose an area approximately 40 by 50 metres in size. The enclosure appears to abut a drainage ditch of probably post-medieval date and may be of similar date. Modern reorganisation and realignment of the drainage ditches in this area has probably damaged the enclosure. (S1, S2)
