Pottery found in timber framed buildings.

Ae 2 of Magnentius (AD 351 - 353), LRBC II, 56.

Monitoring revealed a 'dark earth' spread, possibly part of a bank for the medieval water channel that entered Ipswich along St Helens St. A tile built kiln or oven was also observed, of probable Post-medieval date.

Evaluation and excavation revealed pits, postholes, ditches, a posthole building and a possible palisade ditch. Mainly Roman and Saxon but some medieval features as well.

Ipswich ware base sherd, found in possibly re-deposited soil.

Barbed and tanged arrowhead.

Watching brief on conservatory extension produced no stratified archaeological evidence, but three sherds of pottery were recovered from the topsoil.
